The complex will include a build-to-suit refrigerating space of 15,000 sqm and an already existing storage house. The legal team at Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații was headed by Razvan Gheorghiu-Testa, who has gained a broad expertise on corporate and M&A matters pertaining to the real estate sector. Anca Damour, Carrefour’s Director of Property & Corporate Affairs, commented on the deal: “Due to the our very specific checklist of requirements and tight time frame, this was a complex project and I would like to thank all our colleagues involved in this project including our lawyers from Tuca Zbarcea & Asociatii, CBRE consultants and our partners at P3 for the tremendous work they have put in on the contract.” The newly-built Bucharest P3 Park is located at kilometer 13 on the A1 highway, on a space that allows the development of 114,000 sqm of additional space with units starting at 4,000 sqm and up to 40,000 sqm.

Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații acts on €12.35 billion GE-Alstom deal Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații, a top-notch Romanian law firm, advised General Electric (GE) on the acquisition of the power and grid businesses of French conglomerate Alstom for €12.35 billion. In Romania, the transaction involved the takeover of Alstom’s shares in Alstom General Turbo SA and Alstom Grid Romania SRL by GE. Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații, a top-notch Romanian law firm, advised General Electric (GE) on the acquisition of the power and grid businesses of French conglomerate Alstom. Alstom’s shares were transferred on 2 November 2015, with post-closing procedures to be completed in the near future. GE reached an agreement with Alstom to purchase Alstom’s power and grid businesses for €12.35 billion. The takeover process was accelerated over the last months of the year so as to take place simultaneously on all the EU markets and in jurisdictions such as Brazil, India or South Africa. In Romania, the transaction involved the takeover of Alstom’s shares in Alstom General Turbo SA and Alstom Grid Romania SRL by GE. Slaughter and May took the lead role advising GE on the international aspects of the transaction, while a Bucharest based team from Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații worked for GE on the Romanian law aspects of the deal which is GE’s largest-ever industrial acquisition. Țuca Zbarcea & Asociații handled mainly the corporate aspects of the transaction, which consisted in structuring, adjusting and implementing the necessary stages for takeover of target companies in Romania. Ștefan Damian (Deputy Managing Partner) led the team consisting of Horia Ispas (Managing Associate), Sergiu Crețu (Senior Associate) and other on/off team members.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, a top-notch Romanian law firm, advised General Electric (GE) on the acquisition of the power and grid businesses of French conglomerate Alstom.

Alstom’s shares were transferred on 2 November 2015, with post-closing procedures to be completed in the near future.

GE reached an agreement with Alstom to purchase Alstom’s power and grid businesses for €12.35 billion.
