Overview
Iulia Barbu is a Senior Associate focusing on corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate matters.
She advises clients across diverse industries on a broad range of corporate operations, governance matters and commercial transactions. Her work includes the establishment and restructuring of companies, protection of shareholder rights, as well as drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial agreements.
Iulia has been involved in numerous M&A projects, assisting both local and international clients with legal due diligence exercises covering corporate, real estate and commercial aspects, as well as with the preparation of transaction documentation, including share sale agreements, lease agreements, novation agreements and shareholders’ agreements.
Her real estate practice includes preparing due diligence reports, drafting and reviewing various real estate agreements and providing legal opinions on property-related matters.
She is also actively involved in the firm’s pro bono practice, supporting non-profit organisations in developing projects with social and cultural impact in Romania, including assistance with incorporation procedures, governance matters and representation before the courts.
