Overview
Nadia Vulcu is an Associate at Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații. Her practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration, commercial litigation, and regulatory and compliance matters.
Nadia has experience in assisting and representing clients in complex disputes before international arbitral tribunals and Romanian courts. Her arbitration practice focuses primarily on corporate and commercial disputes conducted under the ICC Rules, as well as disputes arising from construction and infrastructure projects, including claims related to FIDIC-based contracts.
In addition to her dispute resolution practice, Nadia advises clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. Her experience includes assisting with M&A transactions, advising on commercial and corporate matters, as well as advising clients on their day-to-day business, including supporting clients in aligning their business operations with applicable legal and regulatory frameworks. She also has experience in environmental law and regulatory compliance matters, assisting clients with the implementation of applicable national and EU legal frameworks.
Nadia has worked with clients across various industries, including retail, agriculture, construction and infrastructure, oil and gas and education.

Relevant Matters:
- Member of the legal team providing assistance and representation to a major economic operator in an ICC arbitration, concerning the early termination of a shareholders’ agreement, involving damages claims exceeding EUR 300,000,000, as well as complex issues of corporate governance, contractual liability, and civil law.
- Member of the legal team retained by a consortium led by an important Italian construction company, providing legal assistance and representation in two arbitration proceedings conducted under the ICC Rules, in connection with claims for extension of time and financial compensation arising from two FIDIC-based construction contracts. The aggregate value of the claims exceeds EUR 90,000,000.
- Member of the legal team assisting important market players in corporate and M&A transactions, including the sale of shareholdings, preparation and implementation of corporate approvals, as well as in drafting, negotiating, and implementing commercial agreements across various industries.
