- Advising a leading international energy company on the review of a sensitive commercial agreement in connection with one of the largest gas-fired power plants in the European Union. The mandate included advising on contractual risk allocation, operational obligations, and compliance with applicable energy market regulations.
- Advising the project company implementing Romania’s first small modular reactor project on a first-of-its-kind permitting and regulatory process in Romania. The assistance covers nuclear, environmental, planning, construction, and related permitting matters, as well as the structuring of the regulatory pathway for the development and implementation of the project.
- Advising a leading Romanian bank in connection with a Romanian Competition Council investigation into alleged anti-competitive practices in the interbank money market, including issues relating to the ROBID and ROBOR benchmark-setting mechanism.
- Advising a leading international investment group on obtaining merger control clearance from the Romanian Competition Council and foreign direct investment (FDI) approvals in connection with a series of complex transactions in the Romanian and regional energy markets, carried out as part of a strategic portfolio reorganisation.
