Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații advises on Carrefour Acquisition of Billa Romania

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, a top-notch Romanian Law firm, advised Carrefour on the acquisition of Billa Romania from Rewe Group, transaction that would propel Carrefour as Romania’s leading supermarket operator.

The transaction had been initiated over a year ago and was recently finalised, resulting in Carrefour taking over Billa supermarket network that owned about 85 stores and over 300 million in turnover.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații handled the M&A and corporate aspects of the transaction, as well as competition, intellectual property and real estate.

The team, led by Partner Răzvan Gheorghiu-Testa also advised Carrefour on its recent leasing of a logistics hub at the P3 Bucharest Park. It is one of the biggest contracts P3 has concluded this year on the logistics market in Central and Eastern Europe.
