Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații and the IFC are organising Romania’s first International PPP Summit

The international summit "Vision and strategy for attracting private investment in infrastructure in Romania" is held in Bucharest on Tuesday, 16 May 2023. It is the largest event dedicated to investment projects in key sectors of the economy through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mechanism, with the participation of consultants from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), lawyers from Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații, representatives of the infrastructure investment fund Meridiam and central and local public authorities. 

The event brings together senior Romanian officials, representatives of central and local public administrations, experts in the legal, technical and economic-financial structuring of PPP projects, as well as specialists in the actual implementation of key PPP investments in the transport and social infrastructure sectors from several jurisdictions.

"The context of this summit is not accidental - many neighbouring countries implement every year a large number of successful transport and social infrastructure projects structured through the use of Public-Private Partnerships. Romania, for its part, has specific legislation in the field of Public-Private Partnerships. However, important projects have been slow to emerge. That is why we have invited leading specialists from different jurisdictions, with impressive careers in structuring major infrastructure investment projects, to share with us the lessons they have learned and the difficulties they have faced", says Florentin Țuca, Managing Partner of Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații.
