Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații wins three awards at the Romanian Legal Awards 2025

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații is the winner of the Dispute Resolution, Data Privacy/AI and Gambling award categories, which honour the team’s outstanding performance and accomplishments in thousands of client matters over the past 12 months.

At this year’s Romanian Legal Awards ceremony, Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații’s lawyers specialised in Dispute Resolution, Data Privacy & AI, as well as in Gambling law were recognised for their significant achievements in high-stakes litigation and other innovative matters during the previous year.

Christina Vlădescu, Partner in the firm’s Dispute Resolution team, Ciprian Timofte, Partner and head of the firm's Data Privacy practice and Sergiu Crețu, Managing Associate coordinating the firm’s Gambling practice received the award trophies.

With a team of 50 lawyers, led by 10 partners, Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii has one of the strongest Dispute Resolution practice groups in Romania. They handle an impressive volume of cases of around 4,000 files each year, amounting to more than 5 billion euros. The team has won numerous complex cases, representing clients at all levels of the Romanian judicial system, up to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, as well as in special proceedings before the Constitutional Court. Additionally, the team represents clients before the Court of International Commercial Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, as well as in arbitration cases conducted according to the rules of the ICC, UNCITRAL and ICSID.

The lawyers in the Data Privacy & AI team provide expert guidance on data governance, privacy rights, cybersecurity, AI risk management, and compliance with the EU AI Act, the Digital Services Act or the NIS2 Directive. The team also advises on compliance with local and international cryptocurrency regulations and the structuring of investments in digital assets. The team is led by three partners and includes 6 other lawyers with solid background in all aspects pertaining to data privacy and emerging technologies’ legislation.

Țuca Zbârcea & Asociații lawyers specialised in Gambling Law have over 20 years of experience in the legislation applicable to gambling, advising online and offline gaming operators, software developers, payment processors and other industry service providers. The team ensures compliance with specific legislation and supports clients throughout all stages of their operations.
